The Heart of Heaven and Earth

These two quotes are powerful tastes of the core of the 易經 Yijing:

From Hexagram 1:

Sky-Mind 

Heaven’s dao is change, the imminent becoming and dissolving of appearance and manifestation.

This, Heaven’s command, is the essence and integrity of each individual.  Fostering and protecting this union [between Heaven and beings] there is supreme harmony; 

Thus it is just, fitting, and timely, as well as powerful and sacred. 

At the verge of coemergence all beings and nations are united in peace and harmony. 

THE IMAGE:  The current of Heaven is vigor and courage.  One who manifests unceasing power and energy is a noble person. 

From Hexagram 2:

The Interdependent Earth

Thus, the end of the journey is a joyful celebration: 

To be at peace in powerful sacredness is auspicious, 

Resonant with the interdependent Earth without limit.
